This week has been “Arts Week” and all the classes have been learning about music through listening, playing, performing and learning about composers.
The week culminated in our performance assembly today where every child performed to each other. They were all brilliant!!
Earlier in the week the Year 1 and 2 children worked with music teacher Richard Artur performing with steel drums. He was extremely impressed and said the following:
I have had a great day at Cavendish Close Infants. All the children in years 1 and 2 have played the steel drums and have made brilliant music together. I am very impressed at how the children have focussed on the work. They have all listened carefully to instructions, shared equipment nicely and listened to each other’s music respectfully.
