The duty requires schools to take steps not just to eliminate unlawful discrimination and harassment, but also to actively promote equality.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    \n\n    <section class=\"content-section content-section-pastel-blue content-section-padding-medium content-section-width-default\">\n        <div class=\"container\">\n            <div class=\"content-section-inner\">\n                \n\n<p><strong>EQUALITY OBJECTIVES for the period September 2021 \u2013 September 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop an ethos which respects and values all people<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Actively promote equality of opportunity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare pupils for life in a diverse society<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote good relations amongst people within the school community and the wider community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deliver equality and diversity through our school policies, procedures and practice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do our utmost, to remove barriers which limit or discourage access to school provision and activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take positive action to provide encouragement and support to individuals and groups whose progress<br>has been limited by stereotyping and cultural expectations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor the implementation of equality and diversity within the school<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set targets for improvement and evaluate the impact of equality and diversity<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>These objectives were set in September 2021 and will be achieved by September 2025, in 4 years\u2019 time<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    \n\n    <section class=\"content-section content-section-pastel-coral content-section-padding-medium content-section-width-default\">\n        <div class=\"container\">\n            <div class=\"content-section-inner\">\n                \n\n<p>Cavendish Close Infant School is fully committed to ensuring we are compliant with the Public Sector Equality Duty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We follow the DFE advice as outlined in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/assets.publishing.service.gov.uk\/government\/uploads\/system\/uploads\/attachment_data\/file\/315587\/Equality_Act_Advice_Final.pdf\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Equality Act 2010: advice for schools&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please view our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cavclosei.derby.sch.uk\/?page_id=1202\">policies and procedures<\/a>&nbsp;to see how we put that in&nbsp;practice.<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    ","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-12844","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.8 -
